Homecoming and Parents Weekend
Although we will not gather in person this year for Homecoming and Parents Weekend, we are pleased to bring you two of the traditional events of that weekend via livestream. The President's State of the University address will take place at 10 a.m. EDT on Friday, and the annual cardboard canoe race, brought to you by the School of Engineering and Computer Science, will be streamed later that same day at 3 p.m. See below for livestream information.
2020 State of the University Address
The Homecoming State of the University address was given by Dr. Thomas White, president of Cedarville University, at 10 a.m. EDT on October 2, 2020.
Every year over 2,000 Cedarville alumni and friends gather on campus to reconnect and celebrate God’s faithfulness at Homecoming and Parents Weekend.
However, this year due to ongoing concerns about COVID-19 and in accordance with expert guidance and government requirements, Homecoming and Parents Weekend 2020, October 2-3, has been canceled. The decision to cancel was made to proactively protect the health and well-being not only of our guests but also the individuals who study, live, and work on our campus. We will not host large group events on campus this fall, including Homecoming and Parents Weekend.
We are deeply disappointed that we will not be able to host you on campus this year, but we look forward to connecting with you, Lord willing, at Homecoming and Parents Weekend 2021, October 1-2. We believe if we make the changes now, we hope to be able to see everyone next year, with even more anticipation, excitement, and enthusiasm.
Reunion classes that were to celebrate a banner year at Homecoming and Parents Weekend 2020 will be postponed until Homecoming and Parents Weekend 2021. We still want to celebrate you and your milestone as an alumnus of Cedarville University. We hope to see you on October 1-2, 2021!
