Jeff Haymond has been named as the dean of the school of business administration.

Cedarville University has appointed Jeffrey Haymond, Ph.D., associate professor of economics, as dean of the school of business administration. Haymond joined the Cedarville faculty in 2010 after a 29-year career in the United States Air Force, where he taught at the United States Air Force Academy and was an Air Force Fellow at The Brookings Institution.

Haymond intends for the school of business administration to continue its dedication to biblical principles in all its pursuits.

“In the school of business administration, we understand that business is not simply about making money, but about being creative and innovative in serving others for the glory of God,” said Haymond. “Since business activities touch upon almost all facets of life, our graduates have an opportunity to reflect Christ wherever they go.”

Haymond has been published by Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics, Public Choice, the Journal of Public Choice and Public Finance and the Journal of Faith and Economics.

In 2014, he published the Christian economics textbook “No Free Lunch – Economics for a Fallen World” and writes on behalf of Bereans at the Gate, a blog by Cedarville professors dedicated to exploring politics, economics and culture from a Christian perspective.

Cedarville’s school of business administration offers eight undergraduate degrees in accounting, economics, finance, global economics and international business, information technology management, management, marketing and sports business management.

Located in southwest Ohio, Cedarville University is an accredited, Christ-centered, Baptist institution with an enrollment of 3,711 undergraduate, graduate, and online students in more than 100 areas of study. Founded in 1887, Cedarville is recognized nationally for its authentic Christian community, rigorous academic programs, strong graduation and retention rates, accredited professional and health science offerings, and leading student satisfaction ratings
