Blaising to Speak in Staley Lecture Series

Craig Blaising will speak at this years Staley Lecture Series.

Craig Blaising, Ph.D., will speak at Cedarville University on February 9 and 10 at 10 a.m. as part of the Staley Lecture Series. Blaising serves as executive vice president, provost and professor of theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) in Fort Worth, Texas. 

The lecture series is made possible through the Thomas F. Staley Foundation, which brings renowned Christian speakers to Christian campuses annually to encourage and teach college students. 

Blaising has been at SWBTS since 2004, and has authored numerous books and journal articles on dispensationalism and end times prophecy. Prior to his tenure at SWBTS, he was on the faculty at Dallas Theological Seminary (1980-95) and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1996-2001).

Blaising is a research fellow at the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission, and was named as a “Who’s Who” in America in 2000. He also earned recognition as a “Who’s Who” in religion and science and technology in 1992.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, Blaising obtained his master’s and doctorate degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary, and earned an additional Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
