Bookstore Hosts Childrens Parade

by Madi Cannon, Public Relations Writer – October 27, 2016

Cedarville University’s bookstore will host its third annual children’s Halloween parade and book reading on Friday, October 28, from 1-3 p.m. All community children are invited to attend the free event, which will take place in the Stevens Student Center.

Children are encouraged to come dressed in costumes, and they’ll participate in a parade on campus and enjoy a book reading, a fall-themed photo booth and refreshments. Disney’s “Frozen” character look-alikes Anna and Elsa will also make a special appearance.

“I've looked forward to planning the event because it provides a fun fall activity for local children,” said Hilary Slone, bookstore assistant manager and marketing and event coordinator.

Slone expects more than 50 children to attend the parade and book reading. The event gives the bookstore a great opportunity to connect with community families.
