The CU alumnus, trustee, and Indianapolis-area pastor will speak six times over four days.

Mark Vroegop, senior pastor at College Park Church in Indianapolis, will be the speaker for Cedarville University’s 2017 Fall Bible Conference. The conference will take place August 21-24 in Cedarville’s Jeremiah Chapel.

During six messages spanning four days, Vroegop will speak on the power of sin and how to kill it early before it destroys a person.

“The college years are an opportunity for both good and bad to influence a young Christian,” said Vroegop. “This is a crossroads time for these young people and a great time for them to learn skills that will help them make the right spiritual decisions.”

Vroegop hopes students pick up three key points from his sermons: (1) Learning the freedom they have from sin as Christ-followers, (2) Discovering strategies for how to lessen the control of specific sin issues and (3) Developing a greater joy in following Jesus.

Vroegop, a Cedarville alumnus, will have three children enrolled at Cedarville this fall and serves on the board of trustees.

“I wholeheartedly believe in the mission of Cedarville University,” said Vroegop. “The school was very formative in my walk with Christ, and I have such joy having my children in that environment.”
