Cedarville University students, faculty, and staff are raising money for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Clark County.

All loose pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters can now be used toward resources for women with unexpected pregnancies. That’s the hope of Cedarville University students as they participate in a campaign to help the Pregnancy Resource Clinic (PRC) of Clark County.

Students are embarking on a campaign that will provide the PRC with funds to make an impact on people who visit the center. The January 22-February 14 campaign is expected to collect enough coins to fill 136 plastic baby bottles. The money will be sent to Cedarville’s Christian ministries office during Valentine’s Day week, and then given to the PRC.

The PRC offers complimentary pregnancy testing, nurse consultations with ultrasound, prenatal vitamins, baby supplies, pregnancy counseling, resource referral and parenting classes to the families of Clark County. The PRC is volunteer-based, and volunteers have the opportunity to pray with each client during their visit. Because of the PRC’s faithful ministry, many women have been led to faith in Jesus Christ. Churches and schools throughout the Miami Valley raise money for PRC through the baby bottle program.

Cedarville’s fundraiser is led by Stephanie Limbers, a senior nursing major from Chicago, Illinois. Limbers has been team leader for the Cedarville student volunteers at the PRC since August 2014. She is also a care coordinator who meets with clients for pregnancy tests and to distribute necessary items and provides peer counseling. As a nursing student, Limbers is also trained to obtain client's medical history and provide health education.

“We are so thankful for everyone’s involvement,” said Limbers. “We’ve been able to impact lives with what we’ve raised in previous years, and we look forward to doing the same thing this time.”
