College President, Church History Podcaster Speaking

Dr. Stephen Nichols is also the chief academic officer of Ligonier Ministries.

Dr. Stephen Nichols, president of Reformation Bible College in Sanford, Florida, will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Chapel begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public.

Before being elected as president for Reformation Bible College, Nichols was a research professor of Christianity and culture at Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

He also served as a lecturer and adjunct professor at Reformed Theological Seminary and Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Nichols is the chief academic officer and a teaching fellow for Ligonier Ministries, an international Christian discipleship organization. At Ligonier Ministries, Nichols is an adviser to Ligonier Ministries’ founder Dr. R.C. Sproul, the board and senior leadership. Nichols also actively teaches in all the ministries at Ligonier.

Nichols also hosts two weekly podcasts.“Open Book” tells the stories and insights Sproul has learned from his personal book collection. “5 Minutes in Church History” offers a glimpse of how God has worked in and through the church throughout church history.

Nichols has written or edited more than a dozen books about church history, biblical doctrine and practical theology. He is currently the editor of the “Theologians on the Christian Life” book series by Crossway.
