Cedarville places second nationally for student engagement.

For the fourth consecutive year, Cedarville University was ranked in the top five for student engagement by The Wall Street Journal. This year, Cedarville moved up to second in the national ranking, just behind top-ranked Dordt University in Iowa.

Universities ranked behind Cedarville include Samford University, the University of Notre Dame, Brigham Young University-Provo, Baylor University and Oral Roberts University.

Cedarville University offers students a wide variety of opportunities to connect with each other and professors, from the opening of the year’s Getting Started Weekend, to involvement with discipleship groups, academic major groups and global outreach ministries.

Student engagement is further enhanced through Cedarville’s daily chapels and personal interaction with professors outside of the classroom.

Cedarville recently registered its 13th-consecutive year of record enrollment, further highlighting the need for a 10-year campus master plan, unveiled this summer. The master plan will strengthen the school’s ability to engage a growing student body. As part of the plan, Cedarville will add a 300-seat Chick-fil-A Dining Commons and a 282-bed residence hall, both by fall 2020, which will greatly enhance the school’s ability to foster campus community.

Located in southwest Ohio, Cedarville University is an accredited, Christ-centered, Baptist institution with an enrollment of 4,380 undergraduate, graduate and online students in more than 150 areas of study. Founded in 1887, Cedarville is recognized nationally for its authentic Christian community, rigorous academic programs, strong graduation and retention rates, accredited professional and health science offerings and high student engagement ranking.
