To be considered, students must have successfully completed either this course or a higher level biology course, and have a minimum Science & Math GPA of 3.0. Responsibilities generally include grading labs, quizzes, and/or other assignments in a timely fashion. Graders may also be asked to enter grades into Moodle or another electronic gradebook. Grading essays. Approval by the course instructor is required.

Biology Lab Assistant

•Requirements: geology major, good grades, open schedule during lab sessions, available for field trips if on weekends, should have already taken the particular course for which they are assisting •Responsibilities: will help by making sure all needed equipment is available and working in advance of the lab or field assignment; will be familiar with the requirements and desired learner outcomes of the field or lab exercise; will assist in setting up for the lab or field exercise; some lab exercises may be entirely done at the computer; may give basic advice to other students during the field or lab exercise; may be involved in the grading of some of the lab exercises; will need to be approved for driving school vehicles, including the large vans.

Physics Lab Grader

Special Geology lab and office assistant

•Requirements: geology major, good grades; prefer they have had a prior class that utilized the geology labroom; may require school driver's license from Safety •Responsibilities: will vary from semester to semester on an as needed basis. Projects could include managing lab equipment and supplies, preparing special displays, special projects and assignments in helping a professor and organizing rocks and fossils. •Additionally - will do scanning/copying of documents and collecting needed references and filing of some papers; will verify that lab computers and computers in ENS computer lab and certain lecture rooms have the necessary software working prior to the class in which the software is needed (all software pre-installed by computer services); will prepare items for mailing; will prepare posters for hanging; will have other duties as assigned. •Maintain Lulzbot 3D printer. Know how to operate printer. Monitor hardware needs.
