Cedarville University Ambassador

Overview CU Ambassadors play a significant role in supporting Cedarville University and the Advancement team. A CU Ambassador is primarily responsible for positively representing the university and engaging our alumni, parents, and friends through phone and texting conversations. CU Ambassadors report to the Supervisor. A CU Ambassador is expected to work 3 calling shifts per week, which equals approximately 9-10 hours per week. Additionally, CU Ambassadors will be expected to assist with various Advancement events and projects throughout the academic year, including Homecoming and Giving Days. Calling Schedule: 15 minutes are allotted to begin the shift with announcements, prayer, restroom use, etc. Monday | 5:15-8:30pm Tuesday | 5:15-8:30pm Wednesday | 5:15-8:30pm Thursday | 5:15-8:30pm Job Description Understand the mission and goals of the Advancement office and Cedarville University. Enjoy speaking with and engaging alumni, parents, and friends of the university. Learn and apply fundraising techniques. Willingness to be coached to achieve individual and team goals. Be punctual and ready to begin each shift at required time. Adhere to policies and procedures regarding scheduling, confidentiality, and conduct. Be prepared for each call using appropriate scripts, ask ladders, and constituent information. Carefully record all relevant information per Supervisor & AGC nightly instructions. Keep materials and calling space neat and organized. Care for headsets, phones, and computer equipment. Respect shift Supervisor and be courteous to fellow CU Ambassadors. Attend mandatory training and review sessions. Participate in Advancement events and projects at the request of the Annual Giving team. Qualifications Exhibit enthusiasm in support of Cedarville University. Demonstrate effectiveness and genuine interpersonal skills. Possess organizational abilities and attentiveness to details. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to creatively overcome objections. Initiative and follow through in carrying out program policies and procedures. Ability to work as a member of a team. Willingness to remain updated on current happenings at Cedarville University. Possess sound judgment, maturity, poise, and tact in dealing with Advancement staff, CU Ambassadors, and all other Cedarville University constituents.

Estimated Wage: $10.45
