Costume Shop Crew

Costume shop crew assists in the builds and alterations of costumes for the mainstage productions in the DeVries Theatre. Hand sewing and machine sewing experience is a requirement, but any level is welcome. This position will also assist in costume fittings and costume strike. Available work hours are between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday hours as well.

Scene Shop Crew

The scene shop crew constructs the sets for the three mainstage productions in the DeVries theatre, maintains the equipment in the theater scene shop, and organizes teardown. A minimum of 10 Hours per week is requested. Previous knowledge of power tools is recommended but not required. Building experience is a plus. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. The scene shop is generally open Monday - Thursday afternoons and evenings and Saturday afternoons. During the 2 weeks prior to a show, standard hours will change due to rehearsals. Scene Shop Forman

The scene shop foreman assists the technical director to lead the scene shop crew in various projects. This person should have knowledge and experience with basic construction tools and techniques. The shop foreman should be able to read and follow basic construction drawings. They also need to effectively lead a team of 4-8 peers.
