2020 Graduates - Commencement Information

Important Information for 2020 Graduates Who Requested to Participate in the 2021 Commencement Ceremony at 7pm on Friday, April 30

Commencement Rehearsal

Although not required, we strongly encourage you to attend the graduation rehearsal on Friday, April 30, at 3 p.m. Graduates should convene in the Doden Field House. An email will be sent prior to rehearsal to provide seating location.

Commencement Tickets

You can pick up your commencement tickets on Friday, April 30, at:

  • Office of the Registrar in the Stevens Student Center lower level from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
  • Fitness Center counter in the Callan Athletic Center from 2-4 p.m.

If you cannot pick up your tickets by 4 p.m., please contact the Office of the Registrar to make an alternate arrangement.

Tickets for the ceremony are open seating.

Ceremony

Plan to arrive at the Stranahan Gymnasium at 6 p.m., entering the gym through the main doors. Guests are not permitted in the gymnasium.

When you arrive, stop at the check-in table located just inside the main entry doors and check off your name to confirm that you are present. Commencement assistants will be available to assist you in finding your seats on the bleachers.

Masks will be provided for the ceremony. COVID protocols will be in place.

Senior Celebration

Following your ceremony on April 30, you are invited to attend the Senior Celebration at 9 p.m. in the DMC Jeremiah Chapel. We look forward to welcoming family and friends to this event as we give thanks to God for His provision and blessing.

Dress Code

Ladies: Sunday dress (dark if dress or slacks go below gown), dress shoes or dress sandals (preferably dark with flat or low heels; no flip-flops)

Men: Shirt and tie, dress slacks (dark), socks, dress shoes (preferably dark; no sandals or flip-flops)

Photos

Professional photographs of this event may be purchased through Graduation Foto. A photographer from Graduation Foto will be at commencement to take a candid photograph of every graduate at your special moment of recognition. You will receive a free passport-sized digital proof of this photo on an order card in the week following the ceremony, which is mailed to the permanent address we have on file for each graduate. You can also preregister up to six email addresses at graduationfoto.com to receive a proof via email also, and may order online at graduationfoto.com or by calling 1-800-482-0321.

Name Change

If you would like your name read during the ceremony differently than what is on your diploma, please send an email at registrar@cedarville.edu to make this request by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27. Your email should include your name as printed on your diploma, along with your name as you would now like it to be read.
