Deadline Extension - CCP Funding Application!

Deadline Extension - CCP Funding Application!

June 15, 2015

This message has been posted to the Ohio Board of Regents website:

"DEADLINE EXTENSION!!
Nonpublic and Homeschool Student Funding Application deadline is NOW June 30, 2015! The date noted on the applications of June 15, 2015 will be waived in lieu of this extension. Funding award notifications will be mailed to applicants by August 3, 2015."

Many students and parents have asked if they should complete course registration now or wait to learn of their funding award before registering. The answer is a resounding YES! The registration deadline is July 27, and that includes students who have applied for CCP funding. Since students are registered on a first-come, first-served basis, and all classes have a limited number of seats, we are not waiting for funding awards before completing CCP registrations. Students have the option to pay for courses at the low College Now tuition rate, or they may drop their course without penalty once they know their funding award.

Three steps are required for an accepted student to complete registration:

  1. Contact your assigned CCP program advisor to schedule an academic advising appointment. This appointment can be over the phone and will take 10-15 minutes, depending on how many questions students and parents have. Advisors are happy to spend as much time as students need. Accepted students receive an email from their advisor following acceptance with a request for this appointment.
  2. Complete the online Financial Responsibility Agreement. Students who have CCP funding will not have any charges to their student account for CCP-funded courses, but this agreement is a requirement of the registrar's office for registration. Your advisor will provide instructions for how to complete this agreement.
  3. Complete the Course Request Form with required signatures and return to us according to instructions on the form. Students will receive this form by email from their advisor, but it is also posted online in Step 1 of Next Steps for Accepted CCP Students.
