Value of a Bachelor's Degree

February 26, 2015

value of a bachelor's degreeA recent article from Bloomberg Business confirms what we’ve always known — there is real value in earning a bachelor’s degree. In fact, the article explains that the biggest labor market problem for bachelor’s degree holders right now just might be that there aren’t enough of them to fill the open jobs.

The article notes that the unemployment rate for those with a bachelor’s degree is down to 2.8%, significantly lower than the 5.7% rate for the adult population as a whole. The unemployment rate for bachelor’s degree holders is the lowest it’s been since 2008, and the article explains that with this level, it is possible the job market may run out of bachelor’s holders to hire.

But a degree from Cedarville University does more than just prepare students for a spot in the marketplace. Our students are equipped for lifelong leadership and service through an education marked by excellence and grounded in biblical truth. We prepare them to use their vocation to glorify God in all they do.

P.S. There is still time to apply for admission to Cedarville University. We continue to accept and review applications throughout the academic year. If your student has already been accepted, be sure to deposit now to secure his or her place in the fall class!
