When it comes to their science departments, most Christian universities and colleges either ignore the issue of creation and Genesis altogether, or they promote theistic evolution or some other harmonization of Genesis. There are only a handful of schools that believe that Genesis is historically accurate and forms a foundation for science, the Bible, and Christian education. In today's post, Dr. John Whitmore, Professor of Geology at Cedarville University, shares four reasons why Cedarville holds true to a biblical, literal six-day Creation, and why we always will.Read More »

At Cedarville, we approach the study of geology differently from most universities – even ones that call themselves "Christian." As with every program we offer, our geology program boldly acknowledges the Bible as the ultimate framework for research and study, without sacrificing academic excellence. We are unashamed to adhere to a literal, six-day account of creation and recognize God as the Creator of all life. We are honored to be included in Answers in Genesis’ select list of Creation Colleges.
Each year, Dr. John Whitmore, Professor of Geology, leads a group of students on a trip to the Grand Canyon, where they examine geological evidence that supports the biblical account of Creation and Noah's Flood. Read today's post to watch a video to get a taste of this incredible trip.
This bold, biblically integrated education is exactly what your student will experience at Cedarville University.Read More »

Cedarville is always looking for ways to help make our distinctly Christian education affordable and accessible for more families. Last week we mentioned three-year completion options that can help your student complete college sooner, saving time and money. Last year, we took this idea to another level.
We now offer Bachelor's-to-Master's accelerated completion plans. Students can complete a bachelor's degree in select majors plus a Master of Business Administration or Advanced Master of Divinity in just five or six years, and even four years if they choose the three-year B.A. completion plan.
Since all M.B.A. courses are online, your student can begin his or her career while finishing the graduate program. This option saves time and money by completing M.B.A. prerequisites and two M.B.A. core or elective courses as part of the undergraduate curriculum, then completing the M.B.A. in the next 12 months. By combining a B.A. or B.S. with an M.B.A., your student will be more marketable immediately.
Accelerated pathways to the University's Advanced M.Div. are new this year. Students who are interested in using their professional preparation in some type of vocational ministry will find this a great opportunity to prepare. The pathways lay out plans for a student to complete up to 30 hours of Bible credits during their undergraduate years, then move into the accelerated, 61-credit hour Advanced M.Div. program.
We currently have nearly 30 bachelor's-to-master's completion plan options available. Don't see your student's major listed? Talk to us! It's possible that we can create a specific plan just for them.
It's one more way Cedarville is doing all we can to make a distinctly Christian education affordable and accessible for families.
P.S. Encourage your student to apply by October 31, and we'll waive the application fee and send him or her a Cedarville T-shirt! And, we just announced a 3K Spirit Challenge. Any student who applies between now and October 31 will also be entered into a drawing for one of six $1,000 scholarships.

Cedarville is always looking for ways to help make our distinctly Christian education more affordable and accessible for families. One way we do that is by offering three-year completion plans for many of our popular undergraduate degrees.
What a great way for students to fast-track their college experience and save money on overall education expenses. You could reduce your college bill by $15,000 or more. And, your student would enter the workforce and begin earning a salary one year sooner, making the value of a three-year degree $50,000 or more!
Read today's post to learn more about three-year completion plans available to your student at Cedarville.
