Why Do Alumni Send Their Students to Cedarville?

April 22, 2019

Cathy found that her Cedarville experience prepared her well for the challenges of classroom teaching. "When I began my first position teaching fifth grade, my colleagues and I would chat about our college experiences," she explained. "I found that I was much more prepared to be in the classroom than other new teachers because Cedarville required and provided many more field experiences in actual classrooms. That hands-on experience allowed me to go into my first few years more confident and prepared."

Now, years later, Cathy’s daughter, Cayla, is finishing her freshman year at Cedarville as a communication major.  "Of course, I wanted her to choose Cedarville," Cathy shared, "but I knew it would have to be her choice." Cayla chose Cedarville after exploring several other Christian universities.

"When we visited Cedarville, I was pleasantly surprised that many things have changed since I attended," Cathy said, referencing things like relaxed dress code and rules and new facilities. "But one thing that did not change was Cedarville's commitment to excellence in all they do."

"I was pleased with her decision to choose Cedarville and I am excited about all the opportunities she will receive." Cathy explained.

Whatever the major, Cedarville University is equipping students with experiences that enrich their academically excellent, biblically integrated coursework.

P.S. If your student has been accepted to Cedarville for fall 2019, there is still time to pay the deposit to reserve his or her place. But don't wait ... deposits are already at an all-time high!

April 11, 2019

Summer academic camps logoThere is still time to register your student for one of Cedarville's summer academic camps. These camps are a great way for them to learn more about a college major they are considering … all while having an unforgettable summer experience, full of new friends and great memories!

At Cedarville’s summer Academic Camps, students spend a week on campus exploring a career field that interests them. They can choose from art and design, athletic training, criminal justice, engineering, forensic science, geology, history and government, molecular biologymusic, nursing, pharmacy, psychologytheatre, worship, or writing!

While your student explores a career field, camp faculty will challenge them to make their vocation their calling. Cedarville Is Homeschool-Friendly

April 2, 2019

If you’re a homeschooling parent, you probably have specific concerns when considering where to send your son or daughter to college. Our president, Dr. Thomas White, understands. He's a homeschooling dad.

Dr. White recently recorded a video in which he highlights what makes Cedarville University homeschool-friendly. Watch the video and you’ll discover how at Cedarville, your student will join many other homeschool students on a vibrant Christian campus. He or she will be challenged with rigorous academics and encouraged through daily chapel, Bible minor courses, and intentional discipleship to grow deeper in their faith.
