Cedarville's Accelerated Program Options Make College More Affordable for Families

February 20, 2018

CommencementCedarville is always looking for ways to help make our distinctly Christian education affordable and accessible for more families. Beginning fall 2017, Cedarville began offering three-year undergraduate degree completion plans. What a great way for interested students to fast-track their college experience and save money on overall education expenses. Some students are able to reduce their college bill by $15,000 or more. And, they enter the workforce and begin earning a salary one year sooner, making the total value of a three-year degree $50,000 or more! Students can choose from 13 popular programs, with more on the way.

Now, we've taken this idea to another level.

We just announced B.A.+M.B.A. accelerated completion plans. Starting next fall, students can complete a bachelor's degree in either communication or psychology plus a Master of Business Administration in just five years, and even four years if they choose the three-year B.A. completion plan. Since all M.B.A. courses are online, your student can actually begin his or her career while finishing the graduate program. This option saves time and money by completing M.B.A. prerequisite and two M.B.A. core or elective courses as part of the undergraduate curriculum, then completing the M.B.A. in the next 12 months. By combining a B.A. and M.B.A., your student will be more marketable immediately.

It's one more way Cedarville is doing all we can to make a distinctly Christian education affordable and accessible for families. Stay tuned ... we'll be adding additional accelerated bachelor's to master's programs in the near future!

Cedarville Financial Aid Notifications and Your FAFSA

January 17, 2018

FAFSA logoJust this week, we began to send financial aid packages to students who have been accepted for the fall 2018 semester and have submitted their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not already done so, please complete your FAFSA to ensure that your student will receive as much financial aid as possible and be among the first to receive a financial aid package.

Remember, the FAFSA is used to consider you for not only government forms of aid, but also for all need-based scholarships from Cedarville. Many students who do not receive federal or state grants DO qualify for Cedarville scholarships or subsidized government loans.

Once we receive your FAFSA, we will prepare your student's personalized financial aid award. Very shortly thereafter, we will send you a financial aid prospectus, which will outline all of the scholarships, grants, work study, and loan opportunities you qualify for.

Visit our Financial Aid website for the most up-to-date information about financial aid at Cedarville.

Need help completing the FAFSA? In October, our Financial Aid office offered a webinar called "Expert Tips for Completing the FAFSA." This one-hour archived presentation will take the mystery out of this government form and assure you avoid delays caused by submitting incomplete or inaccurate information.
