At Cedarville, we approach the study of geology differently from most universities – even ones that call themselves "Christian." As with every program we offer, our geology program boldly acknowledges the Bible as the ultimate framework for research and study, without sacrificing academic excellence. We are unashamed to adhere to a literal, six-day account of creation and recognize God as the Creator of all life. We are honored to be included in Answers in Genesis’ select list of Creation Colleges.
Each year, Dr. John Whitmore, Professor of Geology, leads a group of students on a trip to the Grand Canyon, where they examine geological evidence that supports the biblical account of Creation and Noah's Flood. Read today's post to watch a video to get a taste of this incredible trip.
This bold, biblically integrated education is exactly what your student will experience at Cedarville University.Read More »

One of the value-added distinctives of a Cedarville education is the Bible minor that is built into every undergraduate program. Made up of five courses — The Bible and the Gospel, Old Testament Literature, New Testament Literature, Theology I, and Theology II — the Bible minor stretches students to think about God, His Word, and His world in whole new ways and encourages them to apply Scripture to all areas of their lives.
Last year, we began making this outstanding Bible teaching available to everyone through our online Bible Minor Project. Every lecture from all five courses will be recorded and, when completed, made available for FREE for personal enrichment, group Bible studies, and the benefit of the church.
Currently, three of the Bible minor courses are available online:
- Old Testament Literature – Student favorite Dr. Chris Miller will walk you through the Old Testament in an engaging way. You’ll explore the history of the Hebrew nation from its origin to the time of Jesus Christ. You will see how the stories fit together in God’s redemptive plan.
- Theology I – Using Scripture and classic and contemporary theological literature, Dr. Jeremy Kimble introduces the doctrines of the triune God, creation and humanity, revelation, and sin and discover how they relate to our lives today.
- Theology II – Dr. Kimble continues his passionate teaching of Scripture as he introduces the doctrines of Christ, salvation, the Holy Spirit, and last things. You'll discover how these doctrines relate to your life today and learn to defend what you believe.
This is the kind of outstanding biblical teaching your student can expect at Cedarville, and you can follow along at home!
We pray you are blessed by the teaching of God's Word.

Cedarville University offers an exceptional opportunity for high school students who want to develop their servant-leadership skills. For more than 20 years, Cedarville's high school leadership conference has been equipping excellent Christian students with the knowledge and skills to implement positive change through effective stewardship, influence, and service.
This year, due to COVID restrictions, our leadership conference will be online, but it will still be a powerful experience.
Encourage your student to register for the virtual CU Leadership Conference on January 30, 2021. This year's theme is "Resolute." Dynamic speakers and challenging sessions will teach students what it means to be resolute — determined, purposeful, unshakable, and unwavering. They can sign up as an individual or as part of a church or school group.
Visit the CU LEAD Conference website for more information. Then, encourage your student to register for this life-changing event!
