The Way of Wisdom – President's New Chapel Series

August 25, 2017

This year, our President, Dr. Thomas White, will preach a 20-sermon series through the book of Proverbs with the University family, starting this Monday in chapel. The series is titled “The Way of Wisdom.” The writer of Proverbs, imparting wisdom to his son, contrasts two paths:

  • Those who choose the way of folly will suffer consequences that ultimately lead to death.
  • Those who choose the way of wisdom will enjoy a life characterized by trusting in God.

As a university family, we are excited to walk through this challenging book together as we seek to be a place and people who walk in the way of wisdom. Watch the video below for an exciting introduction to this series.

As you consider Cedarville University for your student, one of the best ways to get to know us is to experience chapel. You can join us for the Proverbs series (and every other chapel) by accessing the chapel livestream every Monday morning at 10 a.m. EDT/EST. You'll join hundreds of voices in worship to our great God, and then dig deeply into His Word. Or, you can visit the chapel archive to view past messages of this series, or any other chapel speaker.

August 24, 2017

ParentPrepThank you for subscribing to Cedarville University's ParentPrep resource blog! We are excited to provide information and resources throughout this year for parents who are walking with their students through the college search and decision process.

Every week you will find new posts about important topics, such as financial aid tips and information, ways students can graduate from college with a strong faith, making the most of a campus visit, understanding the application process, and so much more! Last year we had more than 1,300 subscribers, and we would love to continue adding to the Cedarville ParentPrep family. Tell friends, family, or anyone in need of helpful college search advice! Once they subscribe, we'll send an email whenever new posts are added. We'll also be providing helpful information about College Now, our program for high school students, so be sure to tell your friends with younger students as well.

Read today's post for our Top 4 recommendations on how you can best help your student through the college search process this year. Although parents usually do not make the final college choice for their student, they do contribute to narrowing down the choices, even before the college search begins. We want to help as you start this all-important journey with your student.

In today's post, you'll read freshman Taylor Bond’s story about her recent spring break missions experience. As you read her powerful story, be encouraged by the life-changing opportunities your student will have at Cedarville.
