Students Encouraged to Get Involved in a Local Church

March 13, 2019

ChurchCedarville University is privileged to care for the spiritual growth of some of the best university-aged students on our planet. We take this charge very seriously.

One of the elements in the spiritual growth dynamic here at Cedarville is seeing to it, as best we are able, that each student connects with a local church. The years of their academic training could leave them separated from any type of effective fellowship with the body of Christ, except for what takes place within the boundaries of our campus. Chapel is exciting and distinctive to a Cedarville education, but it does not take the place of the local church.

We are blessed to have many great churches in the greater Miami Valley region. The top 10 churches (based on number of Cedarville students who attend) are:

We are blessed with many more churches as well. We will continue to impress the importance of the local church upon our students, with the goal of seeing them grow spiritually while they attend Cedarville and then watching them naturally step right into a solid local church wherever they land in the years ahead. To God be the glory!

P.S. If your son or daughter has been accepted to Cedarville University, be sure to deposit early to reserve your student’s place in the fall 2019 class. Deposits are already at an all-time high, and we expect another record-setting freshman class this fall!

Career Fairs Help Students Land First Job

March 8, 2019

Recruiter talking to student at career fairAs stated in our vision statement, Cedarville University is committed to preparing students for vocational distinction. We want our graduates to not just find jobs, but to find positions that allow them to glorify God by using the gifts and talents He has given them.

Our Career Services office is available from day one to help students accomplish this. From choosing a major, to writing the perfect resume, to preparing for a job interview, your student will find help every step of the way.

Career Services recently hosted a spring career fair on campus with more than 100 businesses and organizations attending to recruit students. Companies return each year and actively seek out our graduates because of their career preparation, high-level integrity, and incredible work ethic. Our recent First Destination Survey results for the class of 2018 affirm this – 98.3 percent of Cedarville graduates were employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation, well above the 83.1 percent national average.
