James R. Phipps Communication Award

Established in 1999 by the Department of Communication faculty, this annually funded one-time scholarship was created to honor James R. Phipps 68 and to assist outstanding full-time rising junior or senior Department of Communication students who demonstrate excellence in their program of study, have a grade point average of 3.3 or above and are actively involved in community service and Christian ministries. The Department of Communication faculty select the recipients.
