Modern Languages Study Abroad Scholarship

Established in 2012, this endowed one-time scholarship was created to assist junior and senior study abroad students who plan to study European or critical languages during their semester of study abroad and have a grade average of 3.25 or above. Recipients must have completed either two semesters of college level European language (French, German, Spanish) or 1 semester of a critical language (Middle Eastern or Asian) or the equivalent of the above. Recipients must include foreign language study at an institution pre-approved by the Office of International Programs as a significant part of their study abroad experience. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need. Candidates must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and a scholarship application (see the link below for PDF application) if interested in the scholarship. The Director of International Programs with consultation of other University faculty and staff and the Director of Financial Aid will select the recipients.
