Sandra W. Harner Professional Writing Award

Established in 2008 by Sandra (Welch) Harner '64, this annually funded scholarship was created to assist exceptional rising sophomore, junior, or senior technical and professional communication students preparing for a career in professional writing. Recipients must have at least one year of study remaining in their program, have a grade average of 3.3 or above and demonstrated financial need. The Chair of the Department of Communication will assign departmental faculty to make the annual selection. The faculty will consult with the Director of Financial Aid. The Chair will approve the final selection.
