Google Calendar: Clear the Primary Calendar

It isn’t possible to delete your primary calendar. However, you can clear the calendar of all events if you would ever want to start from scratch. To do so, follow these steps to clear your primary calendar’s events:

Clear your Primary Calendar Events

  1. Log in to your Google account > In the upper-right corner, click the [Google apps] icon (cube made up of 12 squares) > Click [Calendar]. 
  2. From the side panel, click the drop-down arrow next to “My calendars” > Select "Settings."
  3. Under the "CALENDAR" section, click your primary calendar (the calendar with your name as the title).
  4. On the resulting "Calendar Details" page, click the "Delete all events in this calendar" link near the bottom.
  5. In the resulting pop-up, check the box next to “Yes, I definitely want to delete all of the events on my calendar” to confirm this action, and then click [Delete all events].
