PowerPoint: Create Venn Diagrams

PowerPoint: Create Venn Diagrams

Using Powerpoint, you can create a Venn diagram which displays multiple sets (each represented by a circle).  You can change the colors and reposition the circles as you wish. These instructions are for PowerPoint 2016, 2013, 2010, and 2007. While the terminology for tabs and menu options will remain the same, the appearance of these items may vary between versions.

Creating a Venn Diagram

  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation > Select the slide you would like to insert the Venn diagram onto.
  2. Select the "Insert" tab > Choose "SmartArt" from the "Illustrations" group.
  3. Choose "Relationship" from the left panel.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the list of diagrams to view the venn diagrams > Select the venn diagram option that appeals to you.
  5. Click [OK].
  6. Edit the diagram and labels to match your preferences.
