PowerPoint: Create Venn Diagrams

In Powerpoint, you can create a Venn diagram which displays multiple sets each represented by a shape.  You can also change the colors and reposition the shapes as you wish. These instructions are for PowerPoint 2016, 2013, 2010, and 2007. While the terminology for tabs and menu options will remain the same, the appearance of these items may vary between versions.

Creating a Venn Diagram

  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation > Select the slide you would like to contain a Venn diagram.
  2. Click the "Insert" tab > Select [SmartArt] from the "Illustrations" group.
  3. From the left panel, select "Relationship".
  4. From the list of diagrams in the center of the box, choose a venn diagram.
  5. Click [OK].
  6. Edit the diagram and labels to fit your preferences.
