Application Checklist

Degree Programs

  • Freshmen
    A current high school senior or graduate who has never attended any institution of higher learning on a full-time basis (12 or more hours) after high school graduation.
  • Transfers
    A high school graduate who has or will be enrolled in college full-time (12 or more hours) after high school graduation. See the transfer student website for more details.
  • Post-Baccalaureates
    A student who has or will complete a bachelor's degree prior to enrolling at Cedarville University.
  • Readmits
    A former enrolled student who wants to re-enroll.

Non-Degree Programs

  • Faculty and Staff
    Employees of Cedarville University wishing to take a course.
  • Non-degree and Guest Applicants
    Applicants who do not intend to seek a Cedarville University degree. Typically this would include the following:
    • Students from non-CCCU colleges wishing to take courses but not graduate from Cedarville
    • Courses for personal enrichment (faculty/staff spouses; senior citizens)

Graduate Degree Programs

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
    Students who have completed an undergraduate degree or post-baccalaureate study in business-related fields and desire to enhance their managerial and leadership skills from a Christ-centered perspective should apply to the Master of Business Administration program. This program of study is a fully online program with no residential requirements.
  • Master of Education Program (M.Ed.)
    Any previous or currently licensed teacher who desires to enhance their professional effectiveness and who desires to prepare for future leadership roles in education. This program is a non-licensure program. Candidates should hold a baccalaureate or other graduate degree in an education program.
  • Master of Science in Nursing Program (M.S.N.)
    Any applicant who has earned or is nearing completion of a bachelor of science in nursing (B.S.N.) degree and desires to apply for the Master of Science in Nursing program.
  • Master of Ministry
    The Master of Ministry program prepares students to serve in ministries primarily in the pastorate, but in other contexts as well. This is a residential program.
  • Graduate Readmit
    Graduate readmission applies to students who have attended Cedarville University as a graduate student, but have not enrolled within the past two years.

Graduate Non-Degree Programs

  • Graduate Certificate in Principal Licensure Program
    Any applicant who has completed or is nearing completion of a master’s program in education and desires to pursue additional training in order to become a successful school administrator.
  • Graduate Certificate in Global Public Health Nursing
    Applicants who have completed a B.S.N. degree and who are enrolled in or have completed a graduate nursing degree and desire to enhance their understanding of global health issues should apply for this graduate non-degree, certificate program.
  • Graduate Reading Endorsement Program
    Any applicant who has completed a baccalaureate or master’s degree in education and/or holds a current Ohio teaching license may apply.
  • General Study/Non-Degree Programs
    Any applicant who has earned or is nearing completion of a baccalaureate degree and desires to enroll in one or more graduate courses for transient study or for personal/professional development (e.g. CEU’s or special course).
  • College Now Applicants
    Open to highly qualified juniors and seniors who present a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ and who thrive in a challenging academic environment, College Now will prepare you for college in a way few other online education programs can!
