Whitney Freno



After growing up in Vanceburg, Kentucky, Whitney Freno attended Morehead State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Criminology and her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville. Whitney’s prior work experience includes serving in case management roles for both the Kentucky Department of Aging and Independent Living and Ohio’s Southwest Council on Aging. She completed her social work internships at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Cancer Support Community. Whitney began serving as a Counselor in Cedarville’s Counseling Services in August 2019.

Why Cedarville?: I am excited to incorporate the Word of God within my counseling sessions to be utilized as a map to guide students along their journeys. I am passionate about incorporating my God-given gifts to serve others, in hopes of displaying God’s grace.
