Traveling on I-70 to Campus?

Cedarville University's signIf you will be traveling to campus from the east or west on I-70 and plan to exit south on Rt. 72 in Springfield to come to campus, read this update!

Bridge construction in the village of Clifton has reduced Rt. 72 to one lane with a stoplight managing the traffic flow. Significant delays may be possible as students and families return to campus for Getting Started weekend.

We suggest the following alternate routes to avoid the construction:

Traveling from the east on I-70:

Exit at Hwy. 54 in South Vienna. Travel south on Hwy. 54 to Rt. 41, and turn left. At the light in South Charleston, turn right on Rt. 42 and travel into Cedarville. Turn right on Rt. 72 at the Subway restaurant.

Traveling from the west on I-70:

Option 1: Take I-75 South toward Dayton. Exit onto Rt. 35 East near downtown. Follow Rt. 35 to the Bickett Rd. exit, and turn left. Bickett ends at Rt. 42. Turn right and travel into Cedarville. Turn left at the downtown light.

Option 2: Exit at Rt. 68 South toward Xenia. Travel into Xenia, and turn left on Rt. 42. Follow Rt. 42 into Cedarville. Turn left at the downtown light.

All students should enter campus at University Blvd. and follow the signs (and cheering students) to the drive-through Getting Started area. None of these alternate routes will add significant time, and they may reduce stress as you bring your Yellow Jacket to campus. We can't wait to welcome students home to Cedarville!
