This course focuses on the development and application of decision models in supply chains with an operation emphasis. Some of the topics discussed include demand forecasting, aggregate planning, inventory management (cycle and safety), supply network design, transportation, coordination and sourcing. Extensive use of spreadsheet based tools and techniques to build various decision models for effective decision making in supply chains. Students who take this course must have access and knowledge of how to use Microsoft Excel.
