Tracy Collins

Tracy Collins, PhD

Associate Professor of Biology

Biography

Dr. Tracy Collins has served as Assistant Professor of Biology since 2014. She conducted two years of postdoctoral research at Wright State University, where she examined the microbial community structure of constructed wetlands involved in bioremediation of chlorinated ethenes. Her current research involves the use of quorum-sensing inhibitors and photodynamic therapy to treat Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Burkholderia cepacia biofilms. Dr. Collins is also an active member of the 178th Air National Guard Med Group stationed out of Springfield, Ohio.
