One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

Matt Dearden

Biography

If I were a CU student... I’d build strong relationships with faculty and staff as soon as possible. Cedarville has phenomenal faculty and staff who are able to help and come alongside students in many different areas. These areas can be as varied as spiritual development, to academic help, to job placement.

What is the best restaurant in the area? Pies & Pints at The Greene in Beavercreek

What sets CU apart from other colleges and universities? There are a lot of schools you can go to get strong academics. There are a lot of schools you can go to and have fun for four years. You can even get an intentional, Christ-centered education at some schools. However, Cedarville is one of the only places that excels in all of these areas at once. If you want an intentional, rigorous, Christ-centered education, Cedarville is the place you want to be.

Hometown? Trout Lake, Washington

Degree? B.A. in History

Best place to visit around Cedarville? Dayton has a large number of metroparks, and each has its own charm. I recommend Sugarcreek Metropark, southeast of the city.

Bucket list item? Spend 24 hours in a cave by myself with no lights.
