Cedarville welcomes ERLC's Andrew T. Walker to chapel

Andrew T. Walker, director of policy studies for the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017.

The ERLC’s goal is to help prepare Christians and local churches to address current ethical issues. Walker researches, speaks and writes about Christian ethics, public policy and the church’s social witness.

Before working with the ERLC, Walker served at The Heritage Foundation's DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society as a policy analyst. He has been published in the National Review, Public Discourse, The Federalist, TIME and The Gospel Coalition, among others. He also serves as director and research fellow of the ERLC’s Research Institute.

Walker has authored several books, including his newest publication, “God and the Transgender Debate.” He co-authored the “The Gospel for Life” series with Russell Moore, president of ERLC, which tackles tough cultural issues including racial reconciliation, pornography, abortion and marriage.

Walker graduated from Southwest Baptist University in 2008 and received his Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Southern Seminary under the supervision of Russell Moore.
