Grad cap with scholarship on itWe’d like to pass along helpful information about scholarships from Trixie Dobney, Cedarville’s Assistant Director of Donor Relations and Scholarships.

I am contacted often by students and their parents asking about scholarship opportunities. Our department is here to help!

In donor-funded scholarships, we are the bridge between donors — who are investing in students through scholarships — and students. To be eligible for any donor-funded scholarships, your student must first complete two important forms: Cedarville’s General Application and the FAFSA.

The priority deadline is February 15, 2021. These funds are limited, and we strongly encourage your student to apply early.

Scholarship Timeline

  • December – Scholarship applications open.
  • February – Schools and departments select their academic program scholarships.
  • April – Academic Honors Chapel is held. Honors scholarship recipients will get an opportunity to meet their scholarship donors on Academic Honors Day.
  • July 15 – Majority of scholarships are awarded and students should know where they stand with scholarships.

To ensure that your students stay up to date with new opportunities or updates on their current scholarships, encourage them to check their email regularly.

It is my joy to work with your students. If you ever have questions about scholarships, please contact me at trixiedobney@cedarville.edu or 937-766-3219.
