Cedarville Freshman’s Podcast Brings the Campus Together
May 7, 2024—Building community is the goal of Cedarville University freshman Will Woods, and he is using a new podcast to reach his objective. Woods, who is majoring in marketing, is the creator and host of a new podcast, dawoodz2, that can be listened to on all podcast providers. The New Florence, Pennsylvania student uses his own curiosity to create questions for guests that he hopes will help future college students be prepared for their own college experience.
From Commencement to Cockpit: Grads Soaring into Air Force Training
May 7, 2024—After four years of intense training and education through Cedarville’s Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps Program (AFROTC), John Thomson (Greenwood, Missouri), Brent Whitley (Raleigh, North Carolina) and Beavercreek, Ohio, residents Thaddeus Krueger and Matthew Crum were recently accepted into the highly competitive Air Force flight training program and are on their way to becoming pilots.
Cedarville University Launches CUE Camp for Young Entrepreneurs
May 7, 2024—More than a lemonade stand, Cedarville University is giving high school students the opportunity to go beyond tradition as young entrepreneurs. Cedarville, in partnership with the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), will host the inaugural Cedarville University Entrepreneurship (CUE) camp on June 4-7, 2024. Students between 14-18 are invited to register before May 15.
Cedarville Grad Develops Skills, Writes Grant in Nurse Practitioner Fellowship

Cedarville graduate Andrea (VanMeter) Roberts, however, landed an internal medicine nurse practitioner fellowship with Marshall Health Internal Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia, that led to her securing a position in endocrinology at Rivers Health in Gallipolis, Ohio — her hometown.

Unsung Hero: Cedarville Alumnus Shaping Christian Movie Industry
April 25, 2024—“Unsung Hero” could be the next blockbuster Christian movie of our time. The movie releases in theaters nationwide on Friday, April 26, and is the story of the Smallbone family, which gave rise to Christian recording artists Rebecca St. James and For King and Country. A Cedarville University unsung hero connected with this movie is Parker Adams, a 2014 alumnus, who provided the editing to this upcoming movie.
Embracing a Legacy of Adoptive Care
April 24, 2024—Adoption is not a foreign concept to Cedarville University junior Ashlyn DeVries. As a child, she knew that her maternal grandparents raised 14 children — all adopted. Her family’s legacy combined with her experiences on a university-sponsored trip to assist children’s homes in Mazatlán, Mexico, intensified her fire for adoption advocacy.

April 23, 2024—Students majoring in industrial and innovative design (IID) at Cedarville University spend their junior and senior years at the International Center for Creativity (ICC) in Columbus, Ohio, working on projects that can have a real-world impact. Pharmacy Professor Awarded for Research
April 22, 2024—Dr. Aleda Chen, associate dean of the school of pharmacy at Cedarville University, was awarded the 2024 Rufus A. Lyman Award from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). This honor recognizes Chen’s 2023 research paper that was named the best published paper by the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (AJPE).
