Marty Larson, Strategic Consultant
Marty Larson is the Chief Operating Officer for the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association (GDAHA) and its affiliates, Greater Dayton Area Health Information Network, and Southwestern Ohio Health Care Association (SOHCA). He is responsible for overseeing the operations including finance, assisting in strategic development and implementation, identifying emerging healthcare technology opportunities for member hospitals, relaunching SOHCA, and addressing health equity opportunities in the region. Marty received his master’s degree from Antioch University McGregor in 2005 and undergraduate degree from Cedarville University.
Marty has 30 years of experience in healthcare. He has held leadership positions in finance, health information technology, and as an entrepreneur. In addition to his role as Strategic Advisor of the Center for Pharmacy Innovation, he has served on the Cedarville University School of Pharmacy Advisory Committee for over 10 years. Marty has a passion for impacting the community to address the needs in mental and behavioral health and improve health equity.
Justin Cole, Pharm.D., BCPS
Dr. Cole serves as Associate Professor and Chair of Pharmacy Practice in addition to serving as the Director of the Center for Pharmacy Innovation. He received his Pharm.D. from Ohio Northern University. Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Cole served as Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he was responsible for oversight and strategic development of clinical and investigational drug services within the health system. There he was instrumental in establishing new ambulatory and inpatient clinical pharmacy services, crafting new roles for pharmacists in providing patient-centered care, and implementing multiple quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Cole continues to focus his teaching, research, and clinical efforts on pediatric pharmacy practice, pharmacy ethics, and innovation in pharmacy.
Student Innovators
Lucas O'Brien
Lucas O'Brien is an Intern with the Center and a Junior Pre-Pharmacy student from Columbus, Ohio. He serves as the Secretary for Pi Rho Phi, Cedarville's undergraduate pharmacy organization. Luke is interested in pursuing a career in Pharmacy Informatics after his education and is looking forward to using his background in Digital Media to highlight the Center for Pharmacy Innovation's efforts.
Jonathan O'Brien
Jonathan O’Brien is an Intern with the center and is pursuing his doctorate in Pharmacy at Cedarville University. Jonathan is planning on pursuing a career in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy. Jonathan was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and hopes to serve as a pharmacist in central Ohio in the future.
Lilyanna Ritenour
Lilyanna Ritenour is an Intern with the Center for Pharmacy Innovation and was raised in Washington, Pennsylvania. She has gained medical experience through working as a Pharmacy Technician and an EMT, while pursuing her degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Beyond academics, Lilyanna enjoys leading and serving alongside her peers in Phi Epsilon Beta and Hearts for the Homeless. Lilyanna desires to serve in a clinical setting with a particular interest in specializing in emergency medicine and pediatrics.
Benjamin Wolthoff
Ben is an intern with the Center and a Junior pre-pharm student from Louisville, KY. He has served in Heartsong, a worship ministry of Cedarville University, serving as a team leader this year. Ben plans to pursue residency training after pharmacy school and work in a clinical setting such as hospital care or ambulatory care clinic. Ben sees his role in the Center as a way to directly work and gather experience about his favorite aspect of pharmacy, which is the opportunity to use his God-given gifts to continually innovate with the goal of meeting the needs of others, whether physical or spiritual.
