CCP Livestream for Families Considering Dual Enrollment

by Cara Ramer, Student Public Relations Writer – January 12, 2026

Christian Home Educators of Ohio and Cedarville University will host a free Jan. 15 livestream to help homeschool families explore College Credit Plus dual enrollment opportunities and learn how students can earn tuition-free college credit.

Christian Home Educators of Ohio (CHEO) and Cedarville University will host a free livestream to help homeschooling families explore dual enrollment through College Credit Plus (CCP). The Ohio-based program provides a tuition-free pathway for high school students to earn both high school and college credit.

What Is College Credit Plus (CCP) for Homeschool Families?

The livestream, on Jan. 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET, will be co-hosted by Melanie Elsey, legislative liaison for CHEO, and Wendy Ng, dual enrollment admissions counselor at Cedarville. The livestream link will be available after registration

How Cedarville University Supports Dual Enrollment Students

Cedarville University accepts dual enrollment applications year-round. New applicants are encouraged to submit materials by March 15 for the April 1 deadline or October 15 for the November 1 deadline. The dual enrollment admissions and registration timeline is available on Cedarville’s dual enrollment page.

Returning students do not need to reapply and will receive a letter of good standing before registration. Once accepted, students complete online orientation, academic advising and course registration with a dual enrollment advisor, gaining support for both virtual and on-campus learning environments.

Why CCP Matters for Ohio Homeschool and High School Students

Ohio’s CCP program allows public, private and homeschool students to complete transferable college courses, reduce future tuition costs and build confidence in college-level academics. The livestream will cover eligibility requirements, best practices for success and how Cedarville partners with homeschooling families to support both academic growth and spiritual formation.

“The livestream has been effective in helping homeschool families navigate all the necessary steps to use state funds through the College Credit Plus program,” said Elsey. “It’s a tremendous blessing for high school students to earn college credits in a strong Christian environment, and the livestream event makes the process easy to navigate.”

The livestream is part of Cedarville’s broader collaboration with nationally recognized home education organizations, including Classical Conversations, Great Homeschool Conventions, Homeschool Freedom, the Homeschool Legal Defense Association, the Indiana Association of Home Educators and Teach Them Diligently. These partnerships expand educational access nationwide and reflect Cedarville’s commitment to serving the global homeschool community.
