Adapted by: Timothy Mooney

Performance Times: April 8–18, 2027

Timothy Mooney’s adaptation of Molière’s The Learned Ladies is a delightful comedy that satirizes intellectual snobbery and the pursuit of knowledge. The story revolves around the overly pretentious Philaminte, the lady of the house consumed by her passion for learning and academia. Despite her scholarly pursuits, chaos ensues as her household becomes a battleground of wit and wisdom and a fight for love and justice. Cleverly adapted to capture the essence of Molière’s comedic genius, the play offers a hilarious exploration of the absurdities that arise when intellect and passion collide in a pursuit of higher learning.
