About the Actuarial Science Minor

Why Study Actuarial Science at Cedarville?

Do you like working with numbers and statistics to solve problems? Then actuarial science may be a good field for you. Actuarial science applies mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk in the insurance and finance industries. Cedarville’s actuarial science minor is designed to prepare you to pass the first two exams that are required for the actuarial science profession. This minor must be combined with a major (in any field) in order to graduate with your bachelor’s degree and be fully prepared for your chosen career path.

Program Curriculum

This minor requires 40 semester hours of coursework. For mathematics and business majors, the hours will be reduced significantly.
