Why Cedarville?

I transferred to Cedarville after a short run at a community college. My advisors there left me under the impression that no one cared for my academic or personal growth — that their jobs were simply a means to pay their bills. Then, during my very first Cedarville advisory meeting, Jim Leightenheimer, my former faculty advisor, asked me who I wanted to be and how he could help me get there. From that moment on, I understood that the faculty here cared deeply for their students professionally and spiritually. The night before my graduation, I told my mom that I wanted to be the reason that some other student didn't want to leave this place someday. Now, as I teach my students, I can only hope one day to give back to them what Mr. L, and the rest of the faculty and staff here gave to me.
