Madison Hultgren

Biography

Madison joined the Cedarville University School of Nursing as a full-time faculty member in the fall of 2026.  Prior to coming to Cedarville, she practiced as a registered nurse for seven years in a variety of specialties. She has clinical experience in telemetry, orthopedics/trauma, and the operating room (intra-op) and four years in the emergency department. She has served as a clinical teaching assistant at Cedarville University since fall 2021. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC.

Why Cedarville

As I reflect on my nursing career, I realize my favorite moments have always involved teaching — whether educating patients and families or mentoring students and new nurses. I love helping others become confident advocates for themselves and their patients. I am excited to serve at my alma mater as a full-time faculty member because the students here are special. They are not only committed academic excellence but sincerely want to use their future careers as ministry for Christ. I am excited to mentor future nurses and help them develop their critical thinking skills so they can then go out be the hands and feet of Jesus to a world that is hurting from the effects of sin.
