Compassion: Where it Starts — 1/31/2011 12:00 AM
Dr. Bill Brown is the President of Cedarville University. Dr. Brown begins the message by explaining that Christians usually have one of three reactions to the culture. Either they withdraw due to being offended by it, they assimilate as a result of being delighted by it, or they engage the culture because of being distressed by what they see. Dr. Brown teaches that compassion cannot be sustained simply by trying to feel good about helping people. Rather, it must come as a result of realizing what Christ has done for us.
