Tim Goeglein is Vice President for External Relations at Focus on the Family (www.focusonthefamily.com). Mr. Goeglein shared the story of his career path in Washington D.C., culminating in his position as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush. He then talked about how it all came to a sudden end with the revelation that he had plagiarized someone's work in a column he wrote for an Indiana newspaper. Other instances of plagiarism then surfaced, as well. He shared how once the matter became public, the burden of his sin was lifted and he could begin the healing process. After his resignation, he was humbled by the grace and mercy he was shown by the President, and likened it to the grace and mercy we as Christians receive from the Lord Jesus Christ.
