Today's chapel is sponsored by Cedarville University's Student Life Division and is part of the 2010 Health Care Ethics Conference (www.cedarville.edu/bioethics2010). Gianna Jessen's mother tried to terminate her pregnancy in 1977 with a saline abortion. It was not successful. Gianna survived the abortion attempt, and despite having Cerebral Palsy as a result, has overcome numerous obstacles. Though doctors said Gianna would never walk or even be able to hold her head up, she has completed two full marathons. She is an outspoken proponent on the value of human life, both inside the womb and out.
