Louis Zamperini was a runner in the 1936 Olympics. He joined the Armed Forces in WWII, was shot down over the Pacific, and spent 47 days in a life raft. He was then captured by the Japanese, and spent 2 1/2 years in POW camps. Upon his return home, he went to a Billy Graham crusade, and received Jesus Christ as his Savior.
