This milestone marks a major step forward for the Bolthouse Academic Center at Cedarville University. With its interior dome, exterior dome, cupola, and lightning rod, the structure rises more than 24 feet tall and weighs more than 17,000 pounds.

The dome includes 16 windows and more than 340 individual pieces, secured by more than 9,000 fasteners. It is designed not only as a signature architectural feature but as a visible reminder of Cedarville’s commitment to stand for the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.

The Bolthouse Academic Center will be home to the School of Education and Social Work, the Department of History and Government, the Department of Psychology, and the Department of English, Literature, and Modern Languages. In these classrooms and offices, Cedarville is preparing educators, counselors, social workers, and public servants to engage the culture with Christ and be lights in a dark world. Students will experience world-class education shaped by a biblical worldview along with mentorship, discipleship, and meaningful collaboration.

As we put the finishing touches on this building, you have an opportunity to be part of the story. A paver patio near the entrance offers a meaningful way to honor a faculty member or family member or express your gratitude for what God has done at Cedarville. Join us in investing in the lives of students for the cause of Christ.
