Bible & the Gospel | How Should Christians Engage the Church?
This lecture addresses two central questions: whom should the church include as members, and how should Christians worship and engage one another? Dr. Trent Rogers argues for regenerate church membership — that the church’s visible body should be marked by lives conformed to the Gospel — and carefully unpacks biblical passages (1 Corinthians 5, Matthew 18, John 4) on discipline, restoration, and witness. The talk then turns to worship — defining it as a faith-filled response to who God is and what he has done, expressed in adoration and action — and shows how genuine worship fuels evangelism and communal joy!
