Faith that truly believes is faith that obeys!
If you say you believe God’s promises, do you live like it? True belief always acts. If you really believe something, you act upon it, and it affects the way you live your life. The Gospel is not just believing a set of facts — it is betting your life on them.
James points to Rahab as an example of faith that took action. She received the messengers, hid them on the rooftop, lied to protect them, and committed treason against her own country because she believed that Israel’s God was the one true God in heaven and on earth. Her obedience showed the depth of her trust.
You are not saved by your works. You are saved by grace through faith, but you are saved TO good works. Rahab’s story invites us to ask a deeper question: Do you believe, and more importantly, will you obey?
