Do you dream of becoming an English or Language Arts teacher? Cedarville University’s Adolescent and Young Adult Language Arts (AYALA) education major prepares you to teach grades 7–12 in both private and public schools. With coursework grounded in a biblical worldview, you’ll be equipped to think critically, communicate effectively, and inspire the next generation to do the same.
As a language arts education major, you’ll study courses such as English Grammar, Practicum in Writing Instruction, Teaching Diverse Learners, and Faith and Learning Alignment. These classes will strengthen your mastery of language while giving you practical strategies to engage and challenge students in the classroom.
Beyond academics, Cedarville emphasizes spiritual growth and servant-leadership. You’ll be mentored by faculty who model Christlike teaching and who prepare you to do the same for your students. By graduation, you’ll be ready to enter the classroom with excellence, setting an example of faith and professionalism while impacting young lives through a love of language arts.
