Dreaming of a career in athletic training, physical therapy, or other health professions? Cedarville University’s sport medicine major gives you a head start with hands-on training, a Christ-centered education, and flexible pathways to graduate study.
With Cedarville’s Sport Medicine + MAT option, your senior year is strategically integrated into the first year of our Master of Athletic Training program. That means you can earn a BS in sport medicine, a Bible minor, and an MAT degree in just five years. Our athletic training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), so you can be confident you’re receiving a rigorous, high-quality education.
Not planning to pursue an MAT? No problem. The sport medicine major also provides an excellent foundation for graduate studies in occupational therapy, physician assistant, physical therapy, and other healthcare fields. If you choose to stay in the undergraduate program, you can complete a fourth year and graduate with a bachelor’s degree, ready for graduate school or entry-level roles in the industry.
No matter your path, you’ll build expertise in injury assessment, prevention, and treatment while learning to care for patients with excellence and Christlike compassion.
