This video highlights the heart behind Cedarville University’s women’s ministry minor, inspired by Susan Hunt’s call to move beyond asking what is permissible for women in the church and instead focus on what is needful. Women need intentional, directional discipleship, accountability, and encouragement from other women. This program is designed to meet that need by equipping students with a strong foundation in the Word of God and preparing them for meaningful service.
Through this minor, students learn how to study and communicate Scripture effectively while gaining a deeper understanding of how women are discussed throughout the Bible. The program emphasizes mentorship, both receiving guidance and developing the skills to mentor others. Students also explore the wide range of ministry opportunities available to women in the church and beyond.
Graduates leave prepared to create comprehensive ministry plans, lead with confidence, and disciple women in a variety of contexts. The goal is to empower women to know God’s Word deeply and share it faithfully with others around the world.
